Right in the heart of downtown Raleigh, Bida Manda is a thoughtful and sharp gathering place celebrating the diverse food and culture of Laos. Bida Manda is one of the very first Laotian restaurants in the US. Sanskrit for father and mother, we name the restaurant Bida Manda as our way of honoring our parents in Laos who taught us everything we know about food, hospitality, and the power it has in bringing people together. Our parents' recipes are the inspiration for our menu. Every dish on our menu is exactly what we grew up eating. They are the kind of dishes you might find on the street corners of Luang Prabang and at a Laotian home. Amazing food! There is nothing on the menu that I didn’t like. I came here for a staff dinner and were all got to try a little bit of everything - and everything was DELICIOUS. Waitress was fantastic and very helpful on any food allergies at the table. I’ll definitely be back!

Seriously, the food, the service is amazing! I've been here only twice but that's because I don't live in Raleigh. This place has one of the best Asian dishes I have ever tasted and the atmosphere is very romantic. I recommend getting the crispy pork belly soup. It soothes me soul.

Incredible experience beginning to end. Each course was beautifully crafted and very hard to share with my wife. Ross is at least half the reason we loved this spot so much, helping us through the menu and making us feel very welcomed. It’s easy to see why the crispy pork belly soup is a third of the sales made as each bite made me more and more open to the idea of finding a studio apartment in downtown Raleigh. We will definitely be back here whenever in Raleigh and are absolutely obsessed with Bida Manda!!!

Ate here for a second time and can’t recommend it enough. Food is amazing (we got the crispy rice lettuce wraps, pork belly soup and the curry). Service has been fabulous both times. I was celebrating a milestone and they brought out the most amazing macaroons. I also liked that even on a Friday night, they had a drink special.

I am visiting Raleigh for work and a local suggested I try the Crispy Pork Belly soup here. And anytime anyone mentions Raleigh, NC for the rest of forever I am going to suggest they try out Bida Manda and the CPBS. Such a delicious experience. From the moment I walked through the doors and was enveloped in soft draped fabrics until I finished my last bite of the Duo Dessert plate. The food is absolutely incredible (Anaheim Roasted Peppers, Crispy Pork Belly soup, and the dessert Macaroons), but the energy and attention of the staff was definitely a close second. Thank you so much to Daniel and the beautiful hostess (amazing eyelashes, btw) for making sure I had the perfect time. 10/10 would recommend. â¤

Absolutely loved this place. My husband and I went there for date night. Everything from the outstanding drinks, delicious appetizers and entree's left us wanting to come back again. Highly recommend this place especially for a special occasion or just a nice dinner during the week. We'll definitely be back!

AMAZING! The ambiance, service, food, etc... I can go on for days. Thank you guys for a lovely experience. God has blessed the Chefs' hands with skill. The waitstaff are all wonderful. We are from the Topsail area and wanted some place comparable with good food and atmosphere. This place exceeded our expectations by far.

We got lucky to get reservation when we did. Usually you may have to plan to go here but off chance you get a table. Food was good the cocktails were great. Highly recommend the papaya salad, totally different. Great ambiance and our server was great. Four star based on value and taste.

A hearty and soul-"full" menu that is both exotic and familiar. Friendly and helpful wait staff. Classy and modern interior. Always a favorite. The Pork Belly soup is outrageously good and so are the Old Fashions.

First time we've been, what a great place this is. Decor is fab, Christmas tree is stunning. Menu is perfect in my opinion, not too many choices to be bamboozled by. Good choice of beer and wine. Staff were very pleasant. Food was really good. Basically it's awesome.

Ate there for lunch with my friend and we had a lovely experience. The customer service is A+. My friend had the pork belly soup and I had the cashew ginger chicken and both were so so good! The summer rolls are also very good and refreshing. If you’re looking to try something new and want a good atmosphere to enjoy your meal, you need try out Bida Manda!

One of the best restaurants around and their staff is always accommodating and helpful. Great place to come to if you have an allergy just let them know. I recommend the pork belly soup and chicken wings.The chicken wings are among my top 3.Only downside is that they do run out of chicken wings and it is soul crushing :(

Flavor on top of flavor!! Sausage is out of this world. I’ll dream about that. Story basil looked and tasted like freshly picked vegetables. The vegetables were so good, I didn’t notice the beef. Poached egg was a really nice surprise!

The wait was long over one hour but it was well worth it. The dining atmosphere is inviting. The servers are attentive. The food was delicious. I mean it was really tasty and savory. It was presented well and served at the right temperature. I had the spring rolls, papaya salad, and pad Thai. I will definitely return when I come back to Raleigh. Make sure you reserve ahead of time.

We had an amazing late dinner with some amazing drinks. The staff was super friendly. I had the Green Papaya Salad with fried trout. I had the spiciest heat level, and it was fantastic but be ready for some intense heat. My sister had the Chicken Curry and it was one of the best I have ever tasted. Bida Manda is a must visit if you are looking for a fantastic meal in the Raleigh area.
